The Beaver Valley Midget Rep team advanced to the final in their home tournament March 29 before being eliminated by the Stayner team.
Game one saw BV defeat Collingwood 3-2 in a well-played match despite the team being out of action for three weeks.
Game two was against a team from the Sundridge area. Again, BV played well earning a spot in the final by winning 4-3.
Due to work and other commitments, a couple of teammates had to miss the last game against Stayner.
With less-than-perfect officiating causing some frustration the score was 2-1 for Stayner into the third period. With the BV tender out of the net in an attempt to tie Stayner gained control of the puck sending it into the open net to cinch the win and the title.
Meaford also competed and made it to the consulation final before being eliminated. Meaford's Calvin Roach who won the skills competition.
Adam Fulford participated in the skills comp for BV.
Greg Campbell and Matt Paterson represented their team at the All-Star game.
The tournament was something of a farewell for some of the players who will were in the last year of minor hockey. For many of these team mates it could be their last season in a BV jersey.
