Scotland Sings will return to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Thornbury, for a concert on Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the St. Paul's Beaver Valley Foodgrains Project which, through Presbyterian World Service and Development, helps to relieve starvation in Malawi, Africa.

Along with the concert, the local project includes the crop from a 20-acre growing project and proceeds from a pork chop dinner to be held September 20. All the proceeds go to support the Malawi project.

The total funds, usually around $10,000, is matched at a four-to-one rtio by Canadian Industrial Development Associations, which buys more than 5,000 bags of fortified maize and feeds 50,000 peple for one month.

The Scotland Sings show consists of performances by Grant Frazer and Davy Holt of traditional Scottish culture in song. The program will also feature the Beaver Valley Pipe Band.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children six to 12 years, free for children under five years of age. Call 519-538-0743 or 519-599-6645.
