Blue Mountain Resorts is celebrating a new record thanks to last winter's heavy snowfalls and the cool spring weather.
Saturday April 12 marked the 135th day of skiing this season at Blue Mountain, the highest number of days in operation throughout any year in the mountain’s history.
The momentous occasion was marked with a celebratory cake cutting which guests enjoyed while reminiscing about what everyone agrees has been an incredible 2007-08 winter season.
President Gord Canning, Director of Slope Operations, Harry Cummings, VP of Mountain Operations, Dan Skelton and Director of Marketing Paul Pinchbeck cut the cake to mark the record.
The record-breaking season opened on November 30 and is scheduled to re-open Friday, April 18 through Sunday, April 20, weather and conditions permitting, for day hours of operation (9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
