Members of the Clearview Township Ratepayers Association approved a new executive during the organization's semi-annual general meeting last Thursday in Stayner.

Dave Huskinson, by acclamation, is the group's new president and Lloyd Hunt was returned, by acclamation, as vice-president.

Huskinson replaces John Beattie, who is now serving as past president.

Rebecca Wall was also returned, by acclamation, as secretary and Paul Van Staveren was returned, by acclamation, as treasurer.

The new directors, also by acclamation, are Sean Kelly for Ward 1, Rick Redpath for Ward 2, Bill Atkinson for Ward 3, Joyce Smith for Ward 4, Robert Litz for Ward 5, Chris Barker for Ward 6 and Ed Leimgardt for Ward 7.

The organization's executive will serve for a two-year term.

Guest speakers at last week's meeting at the Stayner Community Centre were Clearview Mayor Ken Ferguson, Wasaga Beach Mayor Cal Patterson, Collingwood Mayor Chris Carrier and Town of The Blue Mountains Mayor Ellen Anderson.

The mayors talk about many of the issues facing the Georgian Triangle, including growth, job creation and retention and the importance of municipal partnerships between the four communities.
