The Georgian Bay Titans Rugby Football Club are getting ready for their second season.

"We're looking to build upon our success from last year," said Kirsty Stevenson, president of the Titans.

This season, the club is adding a mini program, for boys and girls ages 8 to 12 years, and will be holding some exhibition games with their seniors, as well as a couple of tournaments and rugby clinics.

The Titans are recruiting for the following teams for the 2008 season: Mini's (Ages 8-12 years); Men's Under 14; Men's Under 16; Men's Under 18; Men's Under 21; and Women's Varsity.

Practices will begin as soon as the field is ready, probably the first or second week of May.

Throughout the summer, home games will be played at the field at Collingwood Collegiate Institute.

Admission to games is free.

Team coaches and players will be on hand to explain the rules of the game and answer any questions about the club.

Registration will be held at the Mountainvew Mall (Zeller's Mall) in Collingwood on the following days:  Saturday, March 29   10 - 1 p.m.; Thursday April 26, 7 - 9 p.m.; Saturday, April 28, 10 - 1 p.m.

The Titans welcome new players, volunteers and sponsors.  Interested parties can contact the club at 705-446-0200 or by e-mail at gbtitans@rogers.com. Further information may be found on the Titans website
