Chris Fell's rather juvenile rant about Earth Hour emphasizes the importance of getting the word out that global warming is not widely understood by the general public.
If someone in the information business such as Mr. Fell can so completely miss the point of ordinary people banding together around the world to tell governments and businesses that they recognize the need for change in how we conserve precious water and other resources, and lessen pollution, how are people who are less informed going to be made aware of the danger?
Earth Hour has little to do with politics and bureaucrats and everything to do with making an effort for a safer, healthier environment. Participating in Earth Hour isn't much, but it's better than doing nothing.
My energy-saving light bulbs and my television set (27-inch) will be off.
