Volunteers are needed for the fencing competition for the Ontario Winter Games, March 5, 6 and 7, at Beaver Valley Community School.

The fencing competition is one of 23 sports that will involve 3,500 teenage participants in the Games. Competition is taking place at venues throughout the southern Georgian Bay area.

Volunteers for the fencing events are needed to help with the registration desk and distribution of lunch to participants. Competition takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at BVCS.

As well, volunteers are needed to help with set up and take down of the equipment.

Lunch will be provided for volunteers.

Prospective volunteers should note that a police background check is necessary.
