A 22-year-old man is facing various charges after a brief car chase on Highway 26.
The Blue Mountains OPP said constables on patrol saw a car, on Highway 26 in Colllingwood, that had been reported stolen from Meaford earlier in the day.
The OPP said they tried to stop the vehicle but the driver attempted to flee. The car was stopped a short time later and the driver was arrested, police said.
Matthew McQuarrie, 22, of no fixed address, faces a charge of possession of stolen property and numerous other criminal charges, the OPP said. He was held for bail.
