Scrapbooking Workshop
Family is where the story begins. If you would like to learn how to scrapbook come to the L. E. Shore Memorial Library on Wednesday Feb. 6, 1 – 4 p.m. to view the many creative options available to you for preserving your pictures and stories and Saturday February 9, 1 – 4 p.m., to complete your scrapbook.

Sylvia McMurchy, independent consultant with Creative Memories, will guide you through the process of creating a paper album gift for Valentine’s Day. The cost for all materials is $22 and must be paid when you register at the library before January 28. You will need to bring 15 – 20 photos with you. For more information please telephone the library at 519-599-3681.

Children’s Programs
Baby story time will be coming soon. If you are interested, the new session will take place on Friday mornings 11 – 11:30 from February 8 – 28. It’s never too early to develop a love of literacy through rhyme and stories. For more information and to register please telephone the library at 519-599-3681.

The Gallery
The Rural Lovelies by Chatsworth artist Heather Murray will be displayed in the Gallery until January 30.

Think Green at the Library
Visit the Greenspace, environmental resource centre at the library for books, pamphlets, and DVDs.

Don’t forget that we have a recycling box in the library for you to safely discard your old cell phones, ink or laser cartridges in order to raise funds for the Grey Sauble Conservation. For every 12 items recycled, one tree will be donated to Tree Canada Foundation.

Identify the energy guzzlers in your home with a simple tool called the Kill-A-Watt meter. We have five kits which are available for loan.
