Rotarians Bill Buxton, left, and President Peter Zahradnik, right, presented Lake with the Paul Harris Fellowship, one of Rotary's highest honours and rarely presented to non-Rotarians.

Saundra Lake was honoured by Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club, Thursday, for her many hours of work on behalf of local service and charitable organizations.

Lake, who leads the Valley Concert Band, has given many benefit concerts either with the band or as a pianist.

She has been part of the Two Pianos Eight Hands concerts, helping to raise funds for many local organizations, and has helped organize the annual Memorial Concert for Beaver Valley Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
