It's one more reason to lock your car.
Grey County OPP were called to a Maxwell area residence early Saturday morning after a Grey Highlands woman found an unknown man sleeping in her vehicle.
The woman reported that she and her husband found the young man sleeping in her compact car at the end of their driveway on Grey Road 4 in Maxwell, east of Flesherton. The intoxicated male was uncooperative when awoken, although at one point he did exit the car and try to open the door to the house, before returning to the confines of the car.
An officer attended and arrested the man who had inadvertently urinated on the seat in the vehicle at some point during his sleep.
An 18 year-old Southgate man was arrested for Public Intoxication and
Trespassing. He was returned to the Markdale detachment where he was lodged until his state of sobriety made it safe for him to be released.
"We have been emphasizing the need for locking vehicles to avoid thefts in the last couple weeks. This puts another perspective on the good logic of locking your vehicle up," said Media Relations Officer Steve Star.
