Volunteers needed

The beaver Valley Outreach is looking for volunteers to help with its Breakfast club starting in September 2008 at  Beaver Valley Community School. If you are interested in volunteering your time to help serve a light, nutritious breakfast, please contact the BVO for more information at 519-599-2577.

Pancake breakfast 9-11 a.m. 50's & 60's Music, Prizes, Food, Surprises! Memory Lane Malt Shoppe, poodle skirts, crinolines, memorabilia. Beer Tent. Nature's Gourmet Buffet Dinner 6-8 p.m. local/organic fresh meats, vegetables and fruit pies.

Limited seating for 300.  Rotary Bar. Martels Rock & Roll Show and Dance, 8 p.m.-midnight. Dance tickets $25 each.  Purchase on-line tickets (user fee) at the website.

Meaford Fair prize books can be picked up at the Meaford Express, Stuff to Read, RBA, the Fabric Shoppe or the Chamber of Commerce office in Meaford.

Sun., Aug. 31
There will be a Blessing of The Animals at 4 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 31, on the lawn beside St. George's Anglican Church, The Blue Mountains (Clarksburg/Thornbury). Everyone is invited to bring their pets and creatures great and small to be individually blessed.
