A 10-year-old girl from Clearview Township is in the Hospital for Sick Children after a serious collision on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

According to a press release from Mark Kinney of Huronia West OPP, a pickup truck towing a trailer and a cyclist collided near the intersection of Poplar Sideroad and Saunders Street.

The 10-year-old was transported to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital with serious head injuries and was airlifted to the Hospital for Sick Children.

The Police investigation into this motor vehicle collision is ongoing but Kinney said the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.
