The Meaford Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its annual Tag Day on Fri., Aug. 1 and Sat. Aug. 2.  Look for volunteers at participating local merchants in Meaford and Thornbury.

3 p.m., Sunday Afternoon Concert Series at Christ Church Anglican features Gillian Bigl on flute with Bob Butchart on keyboard/organ.  Free admission; donations at the door will go to Christ Church.

Karaoke at the Meaford Legion at 9 p.m.  Everyone welcome.

Sat., Aug. 9

Woodford Baptist Church Summer Celebration on Saturday, August 9.  Children (ages 5-12) are invited to a special children's event from 2-5 p.m.  Join us for games and crafts.  At 5:30 p.m. is our annual Community Barbecue with hayride to follow. It's the "August" members birthday party at the Meaford Legion.  Birthday cake, meat draws, and free lite lunch.  Everyone is welcome to attend. 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

100th Anniversary Meaford Hall Church Service at the Market Square on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 2:30 p.m. A mass choir of people who like to sing will perform a medley of old pieces assembled by Bob Butchart. There will be two practices at Meaford United Church, the first one being Thurs., July 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Thurs., August 7 at 7:30 p.m. Please try to attend one. You do not need to read music or sing parts.
