The L.E. Shore Memorial Library Gallery presents Body and Soul, an exhibition featuring textile and sculptural works by Toronto artists Melanie Chikofsky and Valerie Knapp.
The opening reception, with the artists in attendance, will be held on Saturday, June 7
from 2 - 4 p.m.
Acquiring an inventive approach to art making through educating and design work, Toronto artists Melanie Chikofsky and Valerie Knapp offer a broad range exhibition of fiber art, sculpture, and screen printing to the Shore Memorial Gallery.
Driven primarily by material exploration, Chikofsky and Knapp layer their constructions with various found objects that evolve to honor the ideas of time, conservation, and history.
Body and Soul is on exhibit from June 6 to July 2, during regular library hours. The L.E. Shore Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11am until 8 p.m., Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 am until 5 pm and Sundays from 1 until 4pm.
