Thanks to the help and support of dedicated volunteers and community sponsors, the The Georgian Theatre Festival (GTF) is happy to announce that many of the popular events for which it has become renowned, will continue this summer.
A delicious roast beef dinner fundraiser held recently at The Riverside Community Centre was a sold-out success. A big thank-you to all who organized and attended this event in support of ongoing theatre projects in our community.
The 12th-annual Meaford Garden Tour will be held on June 28 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. featuring five beautiful local gardens. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased from Ormsby's Garden Centre, Almond's Market, Grandma Lambe's and Stuff To Read. Please support this event to provide for our ongoing Youth Theatre Program which will be presenting Robin Hood in the Meaford Hall this summer.
Under the leadership of the talented and dynamic artistic director Thom Currie, it's anticipated that this will once again be a great show for all to enjoy. A registration and orientation day for the Youth Theatre will be held on Saturday May 31 from 2-4 p.m. in the Terrace Room at Meaford Hall.
