Art Gallery
The AAC (Arts Advisory Council) of The Blue Mountains Public Library has an opening for an events coordinator. Grey Grannies are back with their popular Granny Birds for sale just in time for Mother's Day.
These birds are handcrafted with love by our local Grey Grannies in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. A minimum donation of $ 10.00 is required per bird.
GBACA Spring Art Show – Join us for another multi-media exhibition by the artists from The Georgian Bay Association for Creative Arts in the gallery from May 1 – May 29.
Osteoporosis Workshop – Learn to live better with osteoporosis. Karen Fisher, PT, of the Thornbury Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre, is offering a free session to help you live with osteoporosis, sponsored jointly by the library and the Osteoporosis support group. Children’s Program
Baby Story Time - Calling all babies and mums! Join us for a new Baby Story Time running from May 2-23 from 11 – 11:30 a.m. It’s never too early to develop a love of music, rhymes and stories. For more information please telephone the library at 519-599-3681.
Mother’s Day Craft – On Saturday, May 10 we will celebrate Mother’s Day by making a tissue paper flower for mom. This is a free event being held from 2 – 2:30 p.m. for children ages eight and under (with children under six being accompanied by an adult). Come out and see what we’re up to!
