Local youth sports got an unexpected financial boost last week, thanks to Sheila Thorson of Clarksburg Contractors.
Thorson was the winner of the $5,000 grand prize in the Beaver Valley Athletic Association's fundraising draw at a recent dance.
She decided to donate the funds back to the BVAA. "I think it's important to support our youth and youth sports," Thorson said.
